The ‘76 Trail begins in the center of Spearfish Canyon in the area known as Savoy. This short but steep hike makes its way to a lookout platform at the top of a lower canyon wall overlooking Spearfish Canyon Lodge and Spearfish Falls.
Along the trail are various benches (you’re going to want to take a breather or two!) and informational plaques.
The view at the top is well worth the hike! Just below, you can see Spearfish Canyon Lodge & hear the rushing of Spearfish Falls. To the north & south, ombré layers of the Spearfish Canyon walls go on as far as you can see.
